Freedom! Well, sort of.
Filed under: The Fosters;8 CommentsI decided the kittens just needed some breathing room.
Yesterday I decided that it might be good to just block off the closet entrance itself. So I pulled the radiator and some other little things out that were on the floor. A few months ago I bought a small shelf i was going to use in my laundry room. But this seems like a better fit. Especially since, 5 months after buying it I still hadn’t put it up

Kitten Pile!
Filed under: The Fosters;2 CommentsI’ve been forced to make a small change. In the closet where the kittens are I have a gas radiator to keep it warm:
But now the kittens have figured out how to get over the box. Well one of them (Danica). So I have to turn off the heater. It sits on the ground and the blades get hot. So if an unsuspecting kitten were to wander over to it they could get burned pretty easily.
Since I turned off the heater that means it’s about 5 degrees colder in the closet. Still plenty warm for them to survive (about 73 degrees) they’ll probably bundle up a little more. Like this:
And Tinker decided my drink was interesting. I don’t drink soda, but I bought this monster drink for a rare craving. I think she felt it was hers:

Frisky kitten escapes undetected. News at eleven
Filed under: The Fosters;6 CommentsI’ve got a problem. I went into the cat’s room tonight to sit with mom. She doesn’t like leaving the kittens and getting on the bed, so I took a couple pillows in and I sit with her. Normally I’d check out the kittens and count them. But I didn’t.
I was there for about 5 minutes and I hear this muffled meow. Mom casually ignores it. I can’t figure out where it’s coming from, then she does it again. I pull the pillows back and sure enough, there’s Danica (i named her for her adventurous attitude and complete lack of fear. Like Danica Patrick the Indy Car racer.

Personalities really starting to show
Filed under: The Fosters;1 CommentThe kittens have gotten to a point that they can now wobble around the box well. One of them actually figured out he could get out of it and he’s also realized that when he does this, mom gives him dedicated attention. So how well do you think that’ll work out?
Here’s a little info on the ones that are showing strong personalities
Hi I’m Jackie (Named be recommendation for Jackie Chan in ‘Tuxedo’). I’m a frisky kitten and have a really fun personality. I was the first kitten to actively hiss at that Neanderthal dad when he’d stick his hand in my home to pick me up. but I’ve figured out that if I just let him I get to play a little. And afterall, isn’t being treated special what it’s all about?I have all white whiskers even though i’m mostly black. I love biting on my white brothers and sisters and playing with my more active tabby sister.
Hello there. I’m a little girl that doesn’t have a name yet. But I’m by far the most active and assertive kitten in my family. I learned how to crawl over the box door even though it’s way taller than i am. When i do this mom let’s me play a little but I get to see her without all my brothers and sisters so it’s GREAT! Just for the record, I’ve escaped 5 times now (that dad knows about) and nobody else has done it once!
I like waking up my family by biting them so they will play with me. It works really well.
hello everyone I’m ‘Lucky’. Dad was going to change my name
but he realized how important the day I was born was to me. I was the last kitten to come out. It’s cold out there! But mom was so tired she couldn’t quite take care of me anymore. So dad helped me get going in the world. If he hadn’t I wouldn’t have made it!I’m the biggest of all the kittens but one of my tabby brothers is catching up fast! I’ve got cream colored stripes and dark ears. i’m going to look pretty cool!
