Introduction

This site is dedicated to my experience as a foster care provider for a previously stray pregnant cat. She had her babies on September ninth and the babies are doing just fine. Most are already promised for adoption. You can check the status of the kittens here.

Nothing new to report today but I didn’t post anything yesterday. Unless you wanted photos of me scrubbing the litter boxes there wasn’t much to see.

Mom and the frisky tabby. This cat is beyond unique. he’s by far the most curious and the cutest thing ever.

They really do all look different. When they were born I had to put a mark on each one’s foot with a sharpie so I could tell them apart when weighing them :).

These guys now are all changing. their noses are changing too.

Even the first day they were born the four white kittens have been an interesting focus to anyone that sees their’ pictures. Of course the first day they were pure white, but even later that day it seemed like you could see some darkening on the ears. Just a touch. not even the fur, but the underlying skin was starting to change.

They’re definitely not going to be white kittens. There’s no arguing that. But I found it interesting that they’re becoming striped. but I don’t know what to think. Check out this picture. Notice the areas I highlighted. The arms are cross striped, the heads have racing stripes and the tails look like candy canes :)

P.S. those t-shirts are not filthy in there even though they look like it. They’re just stained from the birth. I rotate out clean t-shirts every 2 days now.

Started the weekend off hoping the little guy was OK. he’s the smallest of the litter. His eye was having a hard time opening.

Using a cotton pad (as recommended) i got his eye to open up yesterday. Now, a day later, he’s the instigator in the litter. Wanting to play with any and everyone that walks by him.

Without question this is a happy kitten
