Wilbur

Wilbur is a domestic short hair orange tabby. He’s very muscular and bull headed as well. When he first arrived he was clearly the stronger of the two. Tinker had a rough start but Wilbur was a trooper. Taking him in at two weeks old was risky because I still had to bottle feed him and help him go to the bathroom. But I never had a doubt he’d be fine.
Today he’s turning into the most affectionate cat I could hope for from him. He loves to jump in my arms and dose off. Of course he requires both arms and constant attention when this happens.
Wilbur is also the most talkative cat I’ve ever seen. He simply meows ALL the time. Here’s a little video of it. Granted I’m coaxing him, but honestly he does this all day by himself most times.
Wilbur developed a really strange habit when he was born. he started to try to suckle everything. The blanket, my fingers, his sister’s tail, anything. But he wasn’t happy with it.
So he decided he’d take things in his own hands. Literally. He began rolling his paw over and sucking on the big pad. This is how he would go to sleep every day. He wouldn’t do it unless I was holding him which never did make sense, but he’s been doing it strong.here’s a short clip of him doing it at about 4 weeks old:
Here’s one more recent. About a month ago.
Unfortunately as time has progressed his little paws didn’t grow as fast as his mouth. he can’t get suction anymore. He still tries every time he lays in my arms, but he gives up pretty quickly.
Speaking of laying in my arms. here’s what he does:

So he’s been an interesting kitten. I love him to death.
