  Potty Training Day II : Redemption

  I’m pleased to announce that between mom (I hope you realize when I say mom I’m referring to momma cat. not my mother.) and I we have converted all seven kittens from carpet mine  placement technicians to neat little prissy litter box users. What a triumph!

  It took a little work, i spent most of the day today with them. When i emptied the box three of them immediately jumped in and started using it. It’s tiny! So it was pretty obvious what one of problems was. I bought two more low boxes and now we have three in the closet against that wall. The ones that weren’t learning so fast, I held their front paws and did the digging motion. That helped almost immediately!

  The kittens haven’t slept in their box since they got out of the closet. They now sleep in any of three places. Next to the pillow on the floor (the landing pad for leaping off the bed), under the bed, or, the most dangerous, under the comforter. And they don’t just scooch under, they go all the way to the middle. So i have to be extremely careful sitting down on the bed. But I will say this, when I lift the covers, they look so warm and comfy it’s hard to move them.

  I also used up the last of my FedEx boxes, but this time I rigged it so they’re much more re-usable. I taped them all together, including taping them down to the carpet. I know that won’t hold well, but it should at least keep things in place. I also lined the wall this time because these kittens are expert martial artists. Seriously. They’re black belts in Flung-Poo.

  Took some fun pictures of the cats. What actually happened, is I was taking a nap. For some reason I had brought the camera in with me, I think i intended on snapping pics but then fell asleep :D. These are the results of those pics.

  Some random photos from today

  Like I said I take a lot of photos each day. I love these little kittens and I know how much I regret not having a lot of pics of my cats, so I take loads. it’s easy to delete them but impossible to review them if you don’t take them. Wow, see how smart I am? You couldn’t have figured that out, could you have? Didn’t think so.

  Let’s start off with the potty training….. Not going that well, yet. But mom has shown them. Currently they have all mastered the ‘let’s all go at the same time, fling poo up the wall and add in a little ’slide our feet through it’ for a quality cleaning job. P.S. this is after 4 hours this morning from a clean box.
