This site is dedicated to my experience as a foster care provider for a previously stray pregnant cat. She had her babies on September ninth and the babies are doing just fine. Most are already promised for adoption. You can check the status of the kittens here.

Fourth day weigh-ins

All is good in kitty land. All 7 are up over 12 grams today or higher. great news! Including the little one I thought we’d lose. So it looks like we’re in great shape.

Here’s the grueling process of weighing them. It takes at least 3 seconds!

Boring is good, right?

Today has been uneventful which is a good thing. Mom’s doing her mom thing, kittens are being kittens and the whole brood seems genuinely happy.

All of the kittens except one are up over 10 grams for the day. Which is great news. I think we’re doing well.

Mom is too skinny though and it bugs me. Today I got some goat milk for her and we’ll see if that helps plump her up. She needs to be strong to feed that many babies!

Clean house and hungry children

Something just dawned on me. I remember my two stinkers when they were a few months old. They TERRORIZED this house. My God what have I done? I’m about to have 7 MORE of these little monsters running around. Oh no!

Mom got a clean house today when I moved the kids from side to side to change out the t-shirts. I washed them all up so I can change again. I’m now a maid.
