A slew of pictures, just because

    Filed under: The Fosters;

I took a few pics today. I’ve been taking lots of the two tabbies so I decided to focus more on the other cats today. Especially the white ones because now that they’re getting bigger their color is coming in stronger and they’re just awesome looking cats. So this post will probably be long.

As always, click any picture to go to the flickr site and see all the different sizes (just click on ‘all sizes’ once you get there.)

This little girl is barely even white anymore. She’s looking very Siamese

Had to use photoshop to get rid of the redeye here. But this is one of my favorite pictures so far.

    And now for the others.

  1. So Jackie’s eyes aren’t blue anymore, huh?

  2. Nope. The only cats with blue eyes now are the Siamese.

  3. I keep meaning to tell you that they are not “siamese” types colors…they just can’t be, sorry. There’s just not enough white on the body of the babies to qualify them for siamese or colorpoint shorthair colors.

IMO, it would be best to call them a created color…perhaps chestnut mac tabbies (chestnut is a legal cat fancy color). In any respect, I will be bringing the cats’ pics to Hong Kong with me in a couple of weeks to meet some CFA judges and will ask their opinion on the matter if that’s ok with you!

if anything, you could use the Birman colors since they all have socks and laces and if so, I would go for Chocolate lynx point.

  4. Well, i agree with what you’re saying, but one of them definitely is siamese. she has the right Siamese colors to me. The other 3 don’t. but i call them siamese because they’re close. Actually I think they’re more desireable when you see them in person because they look so unique.

But i do agree with what you’re saying. I’ll get a pic of the little girl that looks like I expected.

  5. Wow it just occured to me I didn’t notice your question. Absolutely it’s OK to do that. Thanks!!

  6. Adilah - do you think that their eyes may not stay blue? I see hints of green in a couple of them. Either way, they are soooo coooool looking. They’re gorgeous kittens and will be stunning adult cats.

  7. I doubt very much the eyes will remain blue..but of course many cats have proven my predictions very wrong! LOL!

  8. @ Dad:
In any respect and in CFA speak (sorry but my cattery is registered with CFA), if you still want to call them pointed, they can’t be Siamese but they can be Colorpoint shorthairs - in CFA, the Siamese come in only 4 colors and a lynx point anything is not Siamese but Colorpoint Shorthairs :)

  9. @ Adilah:

I know the brown tabbies and the bi-color won’t stay blue… but it looks to me on close inspection - I made the piccies quite large - that the pointed kits’s eyes are turning from blue to green. Still - they will be stunning!!! They ARE stunning!!
