  Kittens learning to be cats

  I’m happy to announce that the kittens have entered into my favorite mode. When they’re still too uncoordinated to balance right, but have the uncontrollable urge to pounce and run.

  When I go into the pen now they all run up and start climbing all over me. It’s funny when they do it. Aby and Johnny perch somewhere and just sit. The rest climb around, fall and climb up again.
  

  Aby has really taken to me. I’ve started picking her up and sitting on the bed with her. Well I lean against two stacked pillows and watch TV. She likes to come with me and she has fallen asleep on my chest for the last two days. Actually today she almost fell asleep breathing into my ear which was the most incredible feeling. She perched on my right shoulder and laid against me, propping her head right into my ear. At first she would paw at my face playing, start rooting around by flipping upside down and scooting along. then she just laid down. Unfortunately mom meowed and she woke up, walked down my chest and curled up into a ball. Here’s what she likes. She’s moving here, but she likes to lay down with my hand over her to keep her warm. It’s great.
  

  I also put a new cat toy in the room. I bought this for my cats, but they never once used it. no clue why but the kittens sure seem to like it.
  

  I really don’t know what else to update you on at this point. I’ll just post when I think of something.
