Weekend Update
Filed under: The Fosters;6 CommentsThings are rolling right along. The kittens are starting to sprout and mom is getting tired of them! So it’s normal!
4 of the kittens have their eyes opening at some level. Only one are fully open. The others are getting there though. They look evil when they first open because they aren’t really developed and you can tell they can’t make much out.
Here’s a pic from a few minutes ago. Time to change the t-shirts again :). Look at the one at the top. lol he can’t be happy there.

Tinker says hi
Filed under: My Cats;No CommentsShe said it’s almost the weekend and it’s been too long since I focused a post on her. So here she is, like a good little girl, sitting next to daddy on his desk, on the blanket he put there for her.

Hello World! Nice To See You!
Filed under: The Fosters; No CommentsThis is the first kitten to start opening his eyes (yes a boy. See how great boys are?).
I had to take two. Accidentally forgot the flash was on the first one and nearly blinded him

Striking a balance. heat vs cold
Filed under: The Fosters;2 CommentsI’m a strange person I admit it. I cannot STAND being hot. That sounds strange living in Phoenix but let me tell you something. it’s easy to stay cool. They have air conditioning these days and it works pretty well
Seriously though. Madonna and her litter are in the closet of my bedroom. I keep my place cold. 72 degrees. That’s about 12 to 13 degrees too cold for kittens. So I had to figure a way out to make everyone happy.
When my original cats were babies they had this problem too. So i bought an oil based radiant heater. I put it in the bathroom with those kittens and kept it at 85 degrees for them. Perfect!
Well it’s not quite that easy here. i don’t close the closet door and i know she needs it warm. so I’ve struck a balance. I put the heater in the closet and a thermometer. I am keeping it at 78 degrees which should be plenty. The mom cat can warm up her babies if it’s too cold, right?
