Re-arranging my home and deciding who goes where!
For the last 8 months my cats have had free reign of the place here. Heck even when they were tiny kittens. Well when they were really tiny I kept them at my side obviously. But they were little and couldn’t walk so it’s not like I was restricting them.
They also have their own ‘kitten room’. It’s my master bedroom. Here are a few pictures of the messy room

This all sounds great. But there’s a problem. The new foster is going to need some dedicated space. I can socialize her with my cats, but she’s going to need privacy when the babies come. I need to give her enough room to run around, and still know her kittens are safe. But she’ll also need room to get away from them when she needs a breather. So my thoughts initially are that I’ll close the room off when she gives birth and keep my cats out of that bedroom. I don’t know how it’ll go because the mom cat will need some attention and I can’t just leave her locked up all the time, but we’ll play it by ear.
As it sits now I just got an email from the lady and she’s bringing her over in about 4 hours.
